As a gateway to knowledge and culture, libraries play a fundamental role in society. Our city’s ten libraries allow people who live and work in Peterborough and surrounding areas to borrow books and use the internet for free. The resources and services we offer create opportunities for learning - supporting literacy and education - and help shape the new ideas and perspectives that are central to a creative and innovative society.

Peterborough Libraries offer an extensive online collection of e-books, audio books and e-magazines. The great thing about our online service is that you can access it 24/7 wherever you are in the world. Take a look at our digital collection of free, online material.
