Join us for a free family event, open to all ages! No booking required—just drop by and enjoy a variety of activities, including theatre performances, poetry, crafts, and more from local community groups.

We will be joined by theatre groups Told by an Idiotand Bric a Brac. Dive into a world of theatre and explore the creative process, enjoy some fun drama games with the whole family, and even get a glimpse into the development of their latest production (suitable for ages 10+)... complete with audience interaction!

The local Ukranian community group are also coming to our Fun Palaces event and delivering a series of activities:

Craft Activities Overview

  1. Create a stork: A stork is a symbol of Ukraine representing peace, well-being, and a bountiful harvest. Using materials like cotton wool pads, straw, glue, and paper, participants will make this bird, which migrates south in autumn and returns in spring.
  2. Make a hedgehog: Build a hedgehog using air-dry clay and sunflower seeds - a fun seasonal craft for all.
  3. Design a Ukrainian Vyshyvanka: Craft a traditional Ukrainian Vyshyvanka shirt using colored paper, glue, and scissors. A creative activity celebrating Ukraine’s cultural heritage.

Join the Mad Scientist of Words, Sandy Wardrop, for his Poetry Potions – craft your own spooky poetry potions to take home and get ready for Halloween!
