Archives Talk: Solidarity and Loyalty: Peterborough in the 1926 General Strike

In May 1926 Peterborough's trade unionists joined 1.7 million workers in the largest coordinated strike ever seen in Britain. Drawing on research from the archives and local newspapers, Dr Hazel Perry will explore how the workers of the city experienced the 1926 General Strike and how the civic authorities responded to it.
